CARS 2009 (Computer Aided Radiology and Surgery): June 2009, Berlin. Experimental results published in the conference proceedings show that the SenoCAD’s monitoring method is able to early predict the efficacy of neo-adjuvant therapy against breast cancer using high temporal resolution DCE-MRI imaging acquired at 3T.

ICPR 2010 (International Conference on Pattern Recognition): Participation in the contest on segmentation of images of lymphocytes organized at the conference. August 2010, Istanbul, Turkey. Experimental segmentation results published in the conference proceedings show that the SenoCAD’s method is the most accurate method for the segmentation of lymphocytes.

XII PET Conference 2011: Participation in the PET Contouring Challenge on head-neck contouring in 3D PET images. May 2011, Turku, Finland. Experimental results submitted at the PET Contouring Challenge have been recently submitted for publication: Comparative Study with New Accuracy Metrics for Target Volume Contouring in PET Image Guided Radiation Therapy. Contouring of head-neck images in PET images, September 2011: twelve contouring methods with a low-level of interactivity have been submitted to the PET Contouring Challenge at Turku. Finland. According to experimental results submitted to IEEE TMI, the SenoCAD’s interactive contouring method is one of the two best methods characterized by accuracy scores that are frequently (87%) not significantly different from those of the best manual method. Furthermore, results of significance tests show that the most accurate method (according to the Haussdorf criteria), which is frequently not dissimilar from the best manual method, is the SenoCAD’s interactive contouring method, which is very fast and only requires 2 minutes of user interaction per volume of interest instead of 15 to 60 minutes for the best manual method (according to the private communication with its author at Turku).

Proof of concept of SenoCAD’s method for breast cancer monitoring, 2013-2014: the proof of concept for breast cancer monitoring using DCE-MRI, DWI and PET imaging data has given very promising results by analysis of 89 patients at a hospital from Public Assistance – Hospitals of Paris. The novelty is that multiple sources of data have been used to early predict the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy against breast cancer.

A large scale multicentric clinical validation will be launched depending on the availability of private/public funding.
